Q: WHY MUST WE BE BORN AGAIN?

Answer: Because the Bible says that “ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” ( Romans 3:23). It is NOT enough to be a GOOD PERSON. Our goodness does not negate the sinful natures we’ve had since birth. We must all be “born again” if we want to live eternally with God.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT BORN AGAIN?

Answer: The Bible says that “the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” ( Romans 6:23). To die without being saved will result in an eternity spent in hell, a place of great torment.

Q: CAN ANYONE BE BORN AGAIN WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST?

Answer: NO. Jesus said, “I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life; no man comes to the Father (God) except by Me.” ( John 14:6). There are no other means of salvation. Jesus Christ sacrificed His own life on the CROSS for your salvation. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Scientology, and other religious organizations are all false paths that will only lead to eternal death.

Q: HOW DO WE GET BORN AGAIN?

Answer: The Bible says that “if we confess Jesus Christ as Lord (of OUR lives) and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead,” we would be saved ( Romans 10:9). We must turn away from sin, surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, and commit ourselves to live for Him and Him alone.

GETTING BORN AGAIN IS AS SIMPLE AS ABC:

  • Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
  • Believe in your heart that Jesus died on the Cross for you and that God raised Him from the dead.
  • Confess (declare) that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life from this moment forward.

If you’re ready to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, pray this prayer from your heart:

“Dear God, thank You for giving Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins. I believe You raised Him from the dead. I am sorry for how I’ve lived, and I willingly turn away from sin. I declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. I surrender my heart, my will, and my life to You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can serve You the rest of my days, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer, we say to you, “CONGRATULATIONS and WELCOME TO GOD’S FAMILY!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Simply stated, your old life is over and your new life has begun. So never look back!

FRESH START FOR NEW BELIEVERS

Welcome to the Kingdom of God

All of heaven is overflowing with joy because of the extraordinary decision you made to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. To help you enjoy the abundant life Jesus Christ promised in John 10:10, these are the next steps you need to take:

1. WATER BAPTISM

ACTS 2:38, 41 – “38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit… 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized…”

After ACCEPTING (believing) the Gospel message, and receiving Jesus into your heart, the next step in your Christian walk is WATER BAPTISM. Baptism is the act of burying the old, sinful person and the rising up as a new righteous child of the living God.

Baptism is NOT optional for believers since Jesus Himself commanded it to be done (Matthew 28:19).

2. CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP

Acts 2:42 – “They DEVOTED themselves to the apostles teaching…”

Now that you have begun a new life in Jesus Christ, you need to learn His will and plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Just as a quarterback cannot perform without knowing his play book, the believer will be unsuccessful without a working knowledge of God’s Word. Joshua 1:8 tells us to “meditate on (the Word) day and night, so that you may do what’s written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Notice that these new believers DEVOTED THEMSELVES to learning. Make the commitment to yourself to attend church at least once each week and learn as much as you possibly can about the Kingdom of God.

3. CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Acts 2:42 – “They devoted themselves… to the FELLOWSHIP…”

People who start diet and exercise programs, or stop smoking generally find it much easier to do so with a partner. That’s because there is strength in numbers. The same applies to the Christian walk. Sure, you could make it by yourself, but we are designed to be together (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). The Bible tells us that when the family lives together in unity, it is good and pleasant, and brings a blessing from God (Psalm 133:1). Build Christian friendships that will help your growth and not hinder it.
